  11. Greetings.. I am in Vegas for the Winter Consumer Electronics
  12. Show (runs Jan 4-8). As of now I still don't know if Amiga Tech
  13. will attend/show at this expo. I've emailed them 3 times to ask
  14. and gotten no answer :(

  18. BTW, for the historically inclined, the CES in 1985 was the
  19. world premiere of the Amiga computer.  RJ Mical and Dale Luck (and
  20. others perhaps) flew the original breadboarded Amiga from Los Gatos
  21. to Vegas to show the technology here. They even bought the
  22. boards its own airplane seat so itwould not be manhandled as
  23. luggage or freight cargo.

  25. This tale is archived somewhere but I forget what file it's in
  26. or what magazine issue it was in. Perhaps some Amiga historian with
  27. better memory than me (Dan Barrett.. yoo hoo :) might remember.

  29. CES is expected to attract 90,000+ folks. It's the second largest
  30. USA trade show, after COMDEX. It will occupy all of the LVCC nd
  31. Sands Expo Centers, and a couple other ballrooms in hotels.

  33. Although there is a lot of computer action at CES, it is not 99%
  34. computers like COMDEX is. It covers the whole gamut of home and
  35. consumer electronics - any gizmo you can think of: computers,
  36. game platform machines, video, high and low end and car audio,
  37. basically anything you can go to a Circuit City or Best Buy
  38. and buy is shown at CES before the new models are released.
